The House Tour Continues Upstairs

Happy Hump Day! Halfway to Friday :)

Here's the view that greets you at the top of the stairs.

Inspiring huh? The linen closet already has a fun new washer/dryer combination machine in it and the stairs are mid makeover. The two doors lead to the girls' bedrooms. Their shared bathroom is to the right, and our Master Suite is directly behind the camera. Not much of a landing/hall, but it does its intended job.

First up, the bedroom on the left. Its a bit smaller than the other, but has a walk in closet. Miss K claimed this one as hers the first time we viewed the house. The picture doesn't do the size of the room justice. She has our old queen size bed in there, a full dresser, and a desk with some room to spare.

To the right we have Miss H's room. No walking closets here, but tons of space! A queen bed, an L shaped desk, a couple of small dressers and our old TV armoire fill this space. Storage for this artist was paramount and she got it!

The bedrooms might be a nice size, but the bathroom seriously lacks. Its pretty enough, I guess. Pretty boring. Eventually this will be a walking shower and have double sinks, but for now a few fun accessories brought some personality to the space. Something else to be patient for.

Speaking of small bathrooms... This is the illustrious Master Bath. Its even smaller than the hall bath. Go ahead, ooh and ahh. I know you are green with envy.  Again, not bad. Its certainly serviceable, but for a girl that had separate his and hers sinks, a walk in shower and a tub, well, its a bit of a bummer. But we have plans! Unlike the hall bath where the size is what it is...

The cubby hole that they call a closet is going to be our savior. Hello double vanity, walking shower, and soaking tub. Money and time, money and time...my two DIY nemesis.

Through those doors is the best part of our Master Suite.

Can't wait to make this the awesome outdoor space that I have envisioned. We are getting there.  Other than the laundry area that we created at the top of the stairs, this is the only area we have really done anything to upstairs. The public rooms and the yard have been our priorities and probably will continue to be as we head into our second year in our new home. Oh the stories it can already tell :)

How long did you live in your home before it all started to come together?
